This beautifully detailed and meticulously crafted, silver-plated keepsake was inspired by the iconic entrance to Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin.
The University was created by Royal Charter in 1592. Visitors arriving at the city centre are greeted by the classical building of the West Front constructed between 1752 and 1759 and designed by Theodore Jacobsen. Its large timber doors invite visitors from the busy streets of Dublin through its famous, arched passageway to reveal the Campanile and the first cobblestoned quadrangle, Parliament Square.
Presenting this exciting collaboration between Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, founded in 1592, and Newbridge Silverware, a living heritage since 1934. Over 425 years of learning, notable scholars and inspiration have combined with over 80 years of superior Irish craftsmanship to create this luxurious product and bespoke keepsake.
This silver-plated keepsake featuring the famous entrance of the West Front of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin comes with a protective anti-tarnish layer. Its pieces were cut out of thin metal sheets then skilfully shaped and constructed by hand. Suspended from a 140 mm blue ribbon, this beautiful and intricate decoration has blue, green and brown enamel detail added to its etched pattern and is presented in a Newbridge Silverware and Trinity 1592 collection gift box.
