The Library of Trinity College Dublin has been amassing its magnificent collection for over four centuries, since the foundation of the university in 1592.

Here, Helen Shenton presents a range of highlights from the collection designed to reveal its breadth, depth and variety. From Egyptian Books of the Dead to Samuel Beckett's postcards; Oscar Wilde caricatures to contemporary sculpture on the Berkeley Library podium; and of course, the Book of Kells - the exquisitely decorated, early ninth-century manuscript of the four gospels for which the library of Trinity College Dublin is globally renowned.
