TRINITY ARCH WHITE WINE (PAIR)

"Inspired by the barrel-vaulted ceiling of the 18th century Old Library of the Long Room, each crystal piece has been hand cut by a Criostal na Rinne Master Craftsman. The intricate deep curved cuttings are designed to represent the breath-taking ceiling and to emphasise the light reflecting through the crystal.

The Old Library, home to the world-famous Book of Kells and the Long Room was built between the years 1712 and 1732. The architect Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Burgh was a graduate of Trinity College.

Situated on the first floor of the Old Library, the Long Room is the longest, single-room library in Europe at 65 meters and contains over 200,000 of some of the oldest books in the library’s possession. The famous barrel-vaulted oak ceiling dates from 1858 at a time when the bookshelves were full and the flat ceiling was removed and allowed for storage at the gallery level."
