One of the most elaborate and fascinating pages in the Book of Kells is the Chi Rho page (folio 34r). This particular page showcases a plethora of snakes that twist and turn across its surface. Interestingly, the shedding of a snake's skin symbolizes rebirth and renewal, making it an apt symbol for Christ's resurrection. As such, the snake motif is utilized extensively throughout the Book of Kells, adding an extra layer of meaning to its already awe-inspiring pages.
