The Dynamic Duo Behind JANDO
Started nearly a decade ago by a husband and wife team, Julie and Owen Mc Loughlin, the printmaking studio has a name that rings bells throughout Ireland and beyond. Situated in Dublin and known for producing contemporary pieces by combining gorgeous colours with text and images, they have quickly made a name for themselves since their 2015 inception. Combining modern and traditional printmaking techniques has allowed the pair to create a wide variety of high-quality prints containing the most vivid, captivating colours that instantly attract attention from the minute you walk into a room. Julie and Owen have a natural love for pop culture and use it as inspiration to create pieces while using the power of color to evoke feelings and thoughts. It's not difficult to see that this husband and wife team loves what they do. However, the story behind their business is one for the books! While creating fun, intricate stationery for their wedding, they realised they had a real passion for design, and the rest is history. It didn't take long for the couple to start designing and selling their creations, thus opening their business to the public.
