College Wardrobe Essentials

With a new semester just around the corner now is the time to start outfit planning and stocking up on those college wardrobe essentials. Comfort, warmth and practicality are key when it comes to planning your college wardrobe as the semester will be full of surprises and you don’t know what each day will bring.

Headwear

Headwear such as baseball caps can sometimes be a very underrated piece in our wardrobe. However, they are essential, especially when you are travelling to and from college each day and out and about at the weekend or in the evenings. They are perfect for both autumn/winter and spring/summer as they protect your head from the wind and the sun, keep the sun out of your eyes and even hide bad hair days.

Hoodies

Who doesn’t love a cosy hoodie? Hoodies are a must have in everybodies wardrobe. They are very versatile pieces that can be worn in autumn/winter and spring/summer. They are perfect for when the temperature drops on a summer evening or for walking to college when the leaves first start to fall. They can be worn during the week to college, when relaxing in the evening or on your days off at the weekend. Both hoodies feature the iconic logo in a contrasting colour, the hoods both have drawstrings so that you can pull the hood around your face to protect it from the wind and the rain and have a large pocket on the front. One of the hoodies has 1592 written in large print which is the year that Trinity was founded. Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s oldest university. T-shirts

T-shirts are another wardrobe staple that can be worn all year round. In the summer they can be worn by themselves and in the autumn/winter they can be layered beneath a hoodie for extra warmth. Lecture halls can be quite warm which makes t-shirts the perfect piece to wear underneath a hoodie as the hoodie can easily be removed during class time.
